Return & Exchange Policy

We're happy to exchange or return any item, for any reason, as long the item is in the same condition as when it arrived to you - all tags attached (tags must be attached to the item, removing the tags means it can't be returned), not been worn, free of odors, stains or damage.

We will provide you with a no cost return shipping label (limited to USA orders). Here are the details for the free return shipping label:

  • Return shipping labels are processed based on how the items(s) were shipped to you. For each shipping package we sent to your address, we will provide a single, no cost return shipping label. More than one return or exchanges label will be at the customers cost.
  • Free return shipping labels are for items purchased on RatPackHats.com - purchases on other marketplaces (Amazon etc...) do not qualify.

Returns or Exchange Process

To start an exchange or return for an item, follow these steps.

  1. Login to your account (or click the link in the shipping confirmation email sent to you and skip to step 3 below)
  2. On the right of the screen under the heading, "Manage Your Account", click the "View Order Status" link
  3. Click the "View Order Details" button
  4. On the right of the screen, under the "Your Order" heading, click the "Return Items" link
  5. Select the quantity of the item you will be returning or exchanging from the drop-down box
  6. Select the return or exchange reason
  7. Select a return action, if you are exchanging please select exchange
  8. In the comments section, please indicate which size you need and/or if you want to change the color, what color you want exchanged
  9. If this is the first return for the package shipped to you, we will email the return label, with instructions within 24 hours of the return submission.

If you requested a refund, we'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. We process refunds 1-3 days after receiving your return. How long it takes for the refund to get to you depends on your bank or credit card - normally 5 to 10 business days - often sooner.

Exchanges are shipped within 2 days of us receiving the returned item at our location and you will be notified by email when that package is shipped.

Shipping

We can ship to most countries. If your country is one of the countries we don't ship to, you'll be notified during the checkout process. 

When you place an order, shipping and delivery dates will be estimated for you, based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping service you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based.

Generally, we use USPS First Class mail, or Priority Mail. Please note, in the case of Free Shipping, standard ground service is quoted, expedited service will be an extra charge.
